First off, we want to thank everyone in our community for their massive support over the last few days. We know that many of you took time out of your day to join us on this journey and for that we are extremely grateful. However, we are now back stronger than ever!

For the sake of transparency, we would like to share a few of the unexpected events that culminated in us having to push back our launch at the very last minute.

Even with all these unexpected complications (which set us back about 3 days), we were still able to successfully accomplish all promised deliverables for our smart contract.

Our smart contract integration testing was scheduled to commence on October 27th, however, it was pushed back to November 1st. We completed testing by November 2nd at 9 am after our dev team accomplished a spectacular 29+ hour work run.

However, upon deploying the contracts our wallet was transaction locked which means no other transactions could be processed for that wallet. We tried to override the nonce yet it was still an unsuccessful solution.

After troubleshooting all possibilities we decided to create a new wallet and redeploy all contracts. The deployment script failed to deploy the third contract (this wasn’t an issue during testing) which resulted in us having to rewrite the deployment script. We were finally able to get the third contract up and suddenly found another roadblock.

We planned to pay top dollar to whitelist addresses on-chain, however, we were not expecting gas fees to exceed the $150,000 USD mark. In retrospect, gas fees have gone up 2,300% since June so this method is no longer viable. Since we are a bigger project we wanted to take extra measures to ensure a fair whitelist but were caught by surprise.

Solutions

We have decided to whitelist off-chain which will result in a successful mainnet deployment. After speaking with several crypto native teams we all agreed that this is the most secure and verifiable method to ensure a fair outcome for everyone.

After 20+ hour workdays, onboarding new senior staff members, and optimizing all our backend with regards to security, whitelist verification, and website stress testing.
